High Expectations - New Markets
Injection molding has opened up new markets in the recent years thanks
to the many advantages it offers: greater scope for design, complex
part geometries, and economical production. The injection molding
industry has worked has worked hard to meet the needs of the
marketplace — including the regulations and guidelines which have
arisen in the new market sectors. Hygienic, sterile production
conditions are essential for the medical or food industries, for
example, while cleanliness and the absence of foreign particles are a
critical for the automotive industry, electronics, and
telecommunications. Clean room technology is the practical and
economical way to meet these demands.
Very simple– yet very complex!
Using filters, particles of various sizes are removed from the air.
Once the air has been purified it is classified according to number and
size of the particles remaining in the air current by volume. The
highest level of air purity is achieved by the use of a laminar
air-flow. However, this degree of purity is only required in the most
demanding situations.
The Right Solution Depends on the Application
When a part comes out of the mold it is already sterile on due to the
high processing temperatures of the molding process. With the right
materials and mold technologies, it will also be clean. Clean
room technology can ensure that the part stays that way through
succeeding processes and is not contaminated by auxiliary equipment.
Various factors will determine the most suitable solutions for each
application. These factors include quality requirements, conditions in
the facility, the degree of cleanliness required, auxiliary equipment
being used, and the expertise of the personnel.
A Broad Spectrum of Custom Solutions
In collaboration with our partners, who have many years’ experience in
clean room technology, we offer a wide range of solutions customized to
your individual requirements. If you need a simple, economical
solution, a mobile clean room may be sufficient for the mold area of a
standard injection-molding machine. If your requirements are more
specific, a dedicated clean room may provide the solution.
